Notes

London-based multidisciplinary artist Alexander Glass was called one of ‘5 queer artists you need to know’ by ID magazine.

A Body A Monster is a drypoint on acrylic cast into a marble effect locker door. Glass says: “It portrays the excitement and the anxiety that is evoked by the highly charged space of the locker room. Almost everyone has experiential memories relating to locker rooms and they are often complex. Locker rooms are frequently portrayed in cinematic media as a place of sexual awakening, but also as a place where bodies are vulnerable. This etching balances on the both of these sides of the space, offering a suggestion of narrative that goes where the viewer wishes it to.”
